Yaacov Guterman

Yaacov Guterman, painter and illustrator, was born in Poland. As a child he survived the holocaust under a false Polish identity. His father fell in combat in the Warsaw uprising in 1944. In 1950 he immigrated to Israel. He lives in kibutz Haogen. He has illustrated more than 150 books for children and adults, in Israel and abroad. His illustrations were exhibited in the National Library in Warsaw, Poland, and in Tel-Aviv.
